PARA ELLO SE CONSTRUYÓ UNA BASE DE DATOS CON LA TOTALIDAD DE PUBLICACIONES DE LA REVISTA (25 VOLÚMENES Y 48 NÚMEROS), CON UNA MUESTRA TOTAL DE 531 ARTÍCULOS CIENTÍFICOS. SE APLICARON INDICADORES BIBLIOMÉTRICOS, TALES COMO LOS ÍNDICES DE PRODUCTIVIDAD (LOTKA), DE COLABORACIÓN (SUBRAMANYAM Y LAWANI), DE TEMÁTICAS Y METODOLOGÍAS UTILIZADAS, ASÍ COMO INDICADORES DE IMPACTO QUE PERMITEN REALIZAR COMPARACIONES CON OTRAS REVISTAS DE REFERENCIA EN LA REGIÓN. LOS RESULTADOS EVIDENCIAN QUE LA PRIMERA AUTORÍA DE LOS ARTÍCULOS CORRESPONDIÓ A UNA MAYOR PROPORCIÓN DE MUJERES. SE VISLUMBRA UNA CLARA TENDENCIA AL ALZA DEL NÚMERO DE ARTÍCULOS A MEDIADOS DE LOS AÑOS 2000, EL ÁREA TEMÁTICA CON MAYOR NÚMERO DE ARTÍCULOS ES PSICOLOGÍA EDUCACIONAL Y LOS ÍNDICES DE COLABORACIÓN HAN MEJORADO SUSTANCIALMENTE HACIA LA ACTUALIDAD. ;DANNY GREGORY MONSALVE LOZANO ;CRISTHIAN ALEJANDRO AGUILERA CARRASCOMARIO ALEJANDRO RAMOS MALDONADOTHE OBJECTIVE OF THIS STUDY WAS TO FIND AN EFFICIENT METHOD THAT ALLOWS TIME AND YIELD INCREASE VOLUME USE AND UTILITY OF THE SAWMILLS THAT PROCESS LOGS PRUNED PINUS RADIATA, LINKING EXTERNAL INFORMATION PROVIDED BY A SCANNER INDUSTRY AND SIMULATION OF CYLINDRICAL DEFECTIVE CORE (CDC) IN THE CONSTITUTION OF A THREE-DIMENSIONAL LOG, WHERE THE OPTIMAL CUTTING PATTERN WAS ESTABLISHED BY MEANS OF A DYNAMIC PROGRAMMING ALGORITHM. SAWING WAS SIMULATED ON A SAMPLE OF 30 LOGS OBTAINED RANDOMLY INDUSTRIAL PROCESS OF SCANNING. THE RESULTS WERE COMPARED WITH THOSE OBTAINED BY A HEURISTIC DEVELOPED BY A COMPANY. - Publicación5-A-SIDE SOCCER: PREVALENCE OF SPORTS INJURIES IN BRAZILIAN TEAM PLAYERS(Revista Brasileira de Medicina do Esporte, 2021)LUIS FELIPE CASTELLI CORREIA DE CAMPOSINTRODUCTION: 5-A-SIDE SOCCER IS A SPORTS MODALITY EXCLUSIVELY FOR ATHLETES WITH VISION IMPAIRMENT (VI) CLASSIFIED AS BLIND - B1 (BLIND 1) BY THE VISUAL CLASSIFICATION PROCESS. TYPE OF IMPAIRMENT AND HIGH-PERFORMANCE TRAINING ARE FACTORS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPORTS INJURIES. OBJECTIVE: THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY WAS TO CHARACTERIZE THE PREVALENCE OF SPORTS-RELATED INJURIES IN VISUALLY DISABLED ATHLETES OF THE BRAZILIAN 5-A-SIDE SOCCER TEAM. METHODS: THE METHOD WAS DEFINED AS A DESCRIPTIVE, LONGITUDINAL, EPIDEMIOLOGICAL STUDY. THE SAMPLE WAS COMPOSED OF TEN MALE ATHLETES, MEMBERS OF THE BRAZILIAN 5-A-SIDE SOCCER TEAM, INCLUDING TWO ATHLETES WITHOUT VI AND EIGHT ATHLETES WITH THE B1 VISUAL CLASSIFICATION, WHO PARTICIPATED IN COMPETITIONS IN 2014. THE QUESTIONNAIRE FOR THE DATA COLLECTION WAS BASED ON THE SPORT INJURIES PROTOCOL FOR PARALYMPIC SPORTS (PLEEP), EXPRESSING QUANTITATIVE DATA ANALYZED BY DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICS. RESULTS: THE RESULTS SHOWED THAT, IN 2014, FIVE ATHLETES WITH VI HAD SEVEN SPORTS INJURIES, WITH A PREVALENCE OF 62.5%, CLINICAL INCIDENCE OF 0.87 INJURIES PER ATHLETE PER YEAR, AND 1.4 INJURIES PER INJURED ATHLETE. THE MAIN SPORTS INJURIES WERE MUSCLE STRAIN (28.6%), GROIN PULL (ATHLETIC PUBALGIA) (28.6%), AND SHIN SPLINTS (PERIOSTITIS) (28.6%). ALL SPORTS INJURIES OCCURRED IN THE LOWER LIMBS, AFFECTING LEGS (71.4%) AND HIPS (28.6%). OVERLOAD WAS THE MOST FREQUENT MECHANISM (57%), REPORTED AFTER THE TECHNICAL KICK MOVEMENT AND LINKED TO THE MUSCLE IMBALANCE BETWEEN DOMINANT AND SUPPORTING LOWER LIMBS, IN ADDITION TO THE POSTURAL MISALIGNMENT TYPICAL OF PEOPLE WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENTS. CONCLUSIONS: IN SUMMARY, THE BRAZILIAN 5-A-SIDE SOCCER ATHLETES PRESENTED A PATTERN OF OVERLOAD INJURIES RESULTING FROM THE REPETITION OF THE TECHNICAL KICK MOVEMENT, OCCURRING PREDOMINANTLY IN SPORTS COMPETITIONS. - PublicaciónA BANACH SPACES-BASED FULLY MIXED VIRTUAL ELEMENT METHOD FOR THE STATIONARY TWO-DIMENSIONAL BOUSSINESQ EQUATIONS(JOURNAL OF COMPUTATIONAL AND APPLIED MATHEMATICS, 2024)ZEINAB GHARIBIIN THIS PAPER WE EXTEND RECENT RESULTS OBTAINED FOR THE NAVIER-STOKES EQUATIONS TO PROPOSE AND ANALYZE A NEW FULLY MIXED VIRTUAL ELEMENT METHOD (MIXED-VEM) FOR THE STATIONARY TWO-DIMENSIONAL BOUSSINESQ EQUATIONS APPEARING IN NON-ISOTHERMAL FLOW PHENOMENA. THE MODEL CONSISTS OF A NAVIER-STOKES TYPE SYSTEM, MODELING THE VELOCITY AND THE PRESSURE OF THE FLUID, COUPLED TO AN ADVECTION-DIFFUSION EQUATION FOR THE TEMPERATURE. THE VARIATIONAL FORMULATION IS BASED ON THE INTRODUCTION OF THE ADDITIONAL UNKNOWNS GIVEN BY A MODIFIED PSEUDOSTRESS TENSOR, WHICH DEPENDS ON THE PRESSURE, AND THE DIFFUSIVE AND CONVECTIVE TERMS OF THE FLUID, AND THE PSEUDOHEAT VECTOR, WHICH INVOLVES THE TEMPERATURE, ITS GRADIENT, AND THE VELOCITY. AS A CONSEQUENCE OF THE FORMER, THE PRESSURE IS ELIMINATED FROM THE SYSTEM, BUT COMPUTED AFTERWARDS VIA A POST-PROCESSING FORMULA. IN TURN, FOR THE GALERKIN APPROXIMATION WE FOLLOW THE APPROACH EMPLOYED IN A PREVIOUS WORK INTRODUCING FOR THE FIRST TIME AN L-P SPACES-BASED MIXED-VEM FOR THE NAVIER-STOKES EQUATIONS, AND COUPLE IT WITH A SIMILAR MIXED-VEM FOR THE CONVECTION-DIFFUSION EQUATION MODELING THE TEMPERATURE. THE SOLVABILITY ANALYSIS OF THE RESULTING COUPLED DISCRETE SCHEME IS CARRIED OUT BY USING APPROPRIATE FIXED-POINT ARGUMENTS, ALONG WITH THE DISCRETE VERSIONS OF THE BABUSKA-BREZZI THEORY AND THE BANACH-NECAS-BABUSKA THEOREM, BOTH IN SUBSPACES OF BANACH SPACES. THE FIRST STRANG LEMMA IS APPLIED TO DERIVE THE A PRIORI ERROR ESTIMATES FOR THE VIRTUAL ELEMENT SOLUTION AS WELL AS FOR THE FULLY COMPUTABLE APPROXIMATION OF THE PSEUDOSTRESS TENSOR, THE PSEUDOHEAT VECTOR, AND THE POST-PROCESSED PRESSURE. THIS IS A NONLINEAR COUPLED MODEL REPRESENTING THE BIOLOGICAL PROCESS GIVEN BY THE CELL MOVEMENT, DRIVEN BY EITHER AN INTERNAL OR AN EXTERNAL CHEMICAL SIGNAL, WITHIN AN INCOMPRESSIBLE FLUID. IN ADDITION TO THE VELOCITY AND PRESSURE OF THE FLUID, THE VELOCITY GRADIENT AND THE BERNOUILLI-TYPE STRESS TENSOR ARE INTRODUCED AS FURTHER UNKNOWNS, WHICH ALLOWS TO ELIMINATE THE PRESSURE FROM THE EQUATIONS AND COMPUTE IT AFTERWARDS VIA A POSTPROCESSING FORMULA. THIS PAPER CONSIDERS THE PROBLEMS OF EFFICIENT CONSTRUCTION OF LOCATION CLOAKING AREAS WHEN A TRUSTED ANONYMIZER NEEDS TO PROVIDE LOCATION PRIVACY PROTECTION FOR HETEROGENEOUS LBS CLIENTS AND TO LIMIT THE COST OF PROCESSING MANY LCQS AT THE LBS. OUR KEY GOAL IS TO BUILD SHARED CLOAKING REGIONS FOR LBS USERS LOCATED NEARBY EACH OTHER AND HAVING SIMILAR PRIVACY CONCERNS. WE PROPOSE SEVERAL BATCHING APPROACHES FOR BUILDING PROPER CLOAKING REGIONS. THROUGHOUT EXTENSIVE SIMULATIONS, WE WILL SHOW OUR APPROACH CAN BALANCE BOTH THE ANONYMIZER WORKLOAD AND LBS WORKLOAD.

FINALLY, WE USE DIFFERENT AVAILABLE TEST INSTANCES TO COMPARE THE PROCEDURE WITH THE BEST KNOWN PUBLISHED OPTIMAL PROCEDURE, WITH GOOD RESULTS. THE PROPOSED CLASS ALLOWS TO GENERATE RANDOM FIELDS THAT HAVE FLEXIBLE MARGINAL DISTRIBUTIONS, POSSIBLY SKEWED AND/OR HEAVY-TAILED AND, AS A CONSEQUENCE, HAS A WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS. AN INTERESTING FEATURE OF THE PROPOSED CLASS IS THAT IT OFFERS A SPECIFIC TYPE OF DEPENDENCE THAT CAN BE USEFUL WHEN MODELING DATA DISPLAYING SPATIAL OUTLIERS, A PROPERTY THAT HAS BEEN SOMEWHAT IGNORED FROM MODELING VIEWPOINT IN THE LITERATURE FOR SPATIAL POINT REFERENCED DATA. SINCE THE LIKELIHOOD FUNCTION INVOLVES ANALYTICALLY INTRACTABLE INTEGRALS, WE ADOPT THE WEIGHTED PAIRWISE LIKELIHOOD AS A METHOD OF ESTIMATION. THE EFFECTIVENESS OF OUR METHODOLOGY IS ILLUSTRATED WITH SIMULATION EXPERIMENTS AS WELL AS WITH THE ANALYSIS OF A GEOREFERENCED DATASET OF MEAN TEMPERATURES IN MIDDLE EAST.
