- PublicaciónACTIONS AND PERCEPTIONS OF EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT IN SCHOOLS WITH MIGRANT STUDENTS(REVISTA ESPACIOS, 2019)RODRIGO ENRIQUE PANES CHAVARRÍATHE AIM OF THE STUDY IS TO ANALYZE THE ACTIONS AND PERCEPTIONS OF THE MANAGEMENT AND TEACHING TEAM IN RELATION TO MIGRANT STUDENTS WHO ARE INSERTED IN SCHOOLS IN THE CITY OF TALCA, CHILE. THE STUDY IS OF AN EXPLORATORY TYPE AND IS PART OF THE RESULTS OF THE ANILLOS SOC-1401 PROJECT. THE METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY IS ASCRIBED TO A QUANTITATIVE APPROACH, WITH AN EXPLANATORY DESCRIPTIVE DESIGN. FOR WHICH, THE RESULTS ARE PRESENTED IN FREQUENCY TABLES AND GRAPHS, SHOWING THAT THE MANAGERIAL MANAGEMENT REACHES THE LOWEST SCORE ALONG WITH THE FAMILYEMPOWERED DIMENSION, ON THE OTHER HAND, STUDENTS AND TEACHERS DEVELOP CLEAR ACTIONS FOR THE FOREIGN COMMUNITY THAT ARE PERCEIVED POSITIVELY BY TEACHERS.
- PublicaciónANALYSIS OF FUTURE TEACHERS PERCEPTIONS ON THE EVALUATION OF LEARNING: A CASE STUDY OF CHILE(INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF LEARNING, TEACHING AND EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH, 2021)RODRIGO ENRIQUE PANES CHAVARRÍAPRACTISING TEACHERS AND FUTURE CHILEAN TEACHERS SHOW WEAKNESSES IN DEVELOPING LEARNING EVALUATION PROCESSES EFFICIENTLY. THE POLYSEMIC CONCEPT OF EVALUATION IN INITIAL TEACHER TRAINING (FID, SPANISH ACRONYM FOR INITIAL TEACHER TRAINING) IS ONE OF THE MAIN DIFFICULTIES FOR THE STUDENTS OF PEDAGOGY AS WELL AS THEIR LIMITED POSSIBILITIES TO IMPLEMENT PRACTICAL EVALUATION PROCESSES. IN THIS CONTEXT, THE PRESENT WORK ANALYSES THE PERCEPTIONS OF 189 STUDENTS FROM DIFFERENT PEDAGOGY CAREERS (CHILE) ON THE EVALUATION OF LEARNING. THE CURRENT STUDY IS DESCRIPTIVE RESEARCH WITH A QUANTITATIVE APPROACH IN WHICH A QUESTIONNAIRE WAS DESIGNED AND USED AS RESEARCH INSTRUMENT TO ADDRESS THE CONCEPTUAL, FUNCTIONAL AND EXPERIENTIAL DIMENSIONS OF THE EVALUATION. THE RESULTS INDICATE THAT THE PERCEPTIONS OF THE EVALUATION OF THE STUDENTS ARE UP TO DATE AND ACCORDING TO SPECIALISED LITERATURE. LIKEWISE, THE RESULTS SHOW THAT THE TRAINING EXPERIENCES ARE BASED ON TRADITIONAL PERCEPTIONS, SUCH AS THE CONTROL AND VALUE GIVEN TO THE EVALUATION INSTRUMENT. HOWEVER, THERE WERE STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE GROUPS WHICH WERE MEASURED BY THE KRUSKAL-WALLIS H TEST. THE PROJECTION OF THE STUDY LEADS US TO SUGGEST THAT FOR THE TRAINING OF FUTURE TEACHERS, INSTANCES OF REFLECTIVE ACTION IN THE EVALUATION SHOULD BE CONSIDERED, BASED ON PROFESSIONAL PRACTICES. THE RECOGNITION OF EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITIES AND THEIR ENVIRONMENTS IS NECESSARY TO GIVE RISE TO AN EVALUATIVE PRAXIS THAT RELATES THE PERCEPTIONS OF STUDENTS TO THE PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EVALUATION PROCESSES TO HAVE A FAVOURABLE IMPACT ON THE TRAINING OF FUTURE TEACHERS.

;RENÁN ADOLFO CONCHA ZELADA ;MIGUEL CLAUDIO FRIZ CARRILLORODRIGO ENRIQUE PANES CHAVARRÍATHE AIM OF THIS STUDY WAS TO ANALYZE THE BELIEFS OF SECONDARY STUDENTS FROM DOMINGO ORTIZ DE ROZAS HIGH SCHOOL OF COELEMU, CHILE AND ITS RURAL AREAS REGARDING THE SUBJECT OF MATHEMATICS AND PROBLEM SOLVING DUE TO THE TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS. THE RESEARCH WAS DEVELOPED UNDER A QUANTITATIVE APPROACH OF QUASI-EXPERIMENTAL DESCRIPTIVE DESIGN SURVEY TYPE (N=156). AS A BASIS WAS USED THE CLOSED SURVEY OF BARRANTES (2008), ADAPTED BASED ON THE FEEDBACK PROVIDED BY EXPERT JUDGMENT. THE RESULTS SHOW STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES RELATED TO ORIGIN AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN THEIR BELIEFS ABOUT MATHEMATICS AND PROBLEM SOLVING WHEN CONSIDERING THE USEFULNESS OF THE CONTENTS IN THE LEARNING PROCESS AND HOW THIS SUBJECT ALLOWS THE DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS. ACCORDING TO GENDER, IT WAS OBSERVED DIFFERENCES IN THEIR BELIEFS ABOUT MATHEMATICS, HOWEVER RELATED TO PROBLEM SOLVING, NO STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES WERE FOUND. IT WAS CONCLUDED THAT THE LEARNING EXPERIENCES ABOUT MATHEMATICS AND PROBLEM SOLVING FROM RURAL SECTOR STUDENTS ARE RELATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF ADVERSE ATTITUDES TOWARDS THE SUBJECT, SINCE THEY DO NOT FIND USE AND PURPOSE OF ITS APPLICATIONS IN THEIR EVERYDAY LIFE. © 2019 LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY OF BRAZIL. ;RODRIGO ENRIQUE PANES CHAVARRÍAMIGUEL CLAUDIO FRIZ CARRILLOLOS PROPÓSITOS DEL ESTUDIO FUERON ANALIZAR LAS CONCEPCIONES QUE ESTUDIANTES DE PRIMER AÑO Y QUINTO AÑO DE UNA ESCUELA DE FORMACIÓN DE PROFESORES DE MATEMÁTICAS MANIFIESTAN HACIA LO QUE ES LA CIENCIA MATEMÁTICA, LA UTILIDAD DE LA MATEMÁTICA Y LOS PROCESOS DE ENSEÑANZA Y APRENDIZAJE; PARA ELLO SE ADOPTÓ UN ENFOQUE METODOLÓGICO CUANTITATIVO CON DISEÑO NO EXPERIMENTAL DEL TIPO ENCUESTA. EL ANÁLISIS DE LOS DATOS SE REALIZÓ A TRAVÉS DEL PROGRAMA ESTADÍSTICO PSPP Y LAS TÉCNICAS UTILIZADAS FUERON PRINCIPALMENTE ESTADÍSTICO-DESCRIPTIVOS DE TENDENCIA CENTRAL (MEDIA) Y DISPERSIÓN (DESVIACIÓN TÍPICA), CÁLCULO DE FRECUENCIAS, PORCENTAJES Y LA PRUEBA T PARA LA COMPARACIÓN DE MEDIAS ENTRE GRUPOS. LOS RESULTADOS GENERALES DAN CUENTA DE UNA ALTA VALORACIÓN HACIA LA MATEMÁTICA COMO CIENCIA QUE AYUDA EN EL TRANSCURSO DE NUESTRA VIDA A LA SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS COTIDIANOS Y SU RELACIÓN CON LAS ARTES Y LA MÚSICA. ASÍ MISMO LOS ESTUDIANTES VALORAN LAS ACTIVIDADES MATEMÁTICAS QUE APELAN A LA MOTIVACIÓN Y LA CONEXIÓN CON SITUACIONES REALES.
