;PEDRO GERÓNIMO CAMPOS SOTOELIZABETH ELIANA GRANDÓN TOLEDOSOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGIES ARE FUNDAMENTAL FOR THE PROPER DEVELOPMENT OF SOFTWARE PROJECTS. HOWEVER, THE MOST PERTINENT ONES ARE NOT ALWAYS SELECTED DEPENDING ON THE RESOURCES AVAILABLE, WHICH COULD RESULT IN FAILED PROJECTS. IN FACT, SEVERAL REPORTS SHOW A HIGH RATE OF FAILURE IN SOFTWARE PROJECTS. THE TYPE OF DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGY CHOSEN IS ONE IMPORTANT FACTOR WHEN DIFFERENTIATING BETWEEN SUCCESSFUL FROM UNSUCCESSFUL PROJECTS. FOR EXAMPLE, IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT PROJECTS THAT USE AGILE PRACTICES HAVE A GREATER PERCENTAGE OF SUCCESS. HOWEVER, AGILE METHODOLOGIES ARE NOT NECESSARILY APPROPRIATE FOR ANY TYPE OF PROJECT. GIVEN THE ABOVE, A DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGIES RECOMMENDATION SYSTEM PROTOTYPE WAS DEVELOPED, THAT ALLOWS GUIDING DEVELOPERS WITH LOW EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE TO SELECT MORE APPROPRIATE METHODOLOGIES ACCORDING TO DIFFERENT CRITERIA. THIS STUDY AIMS TO DETERMINE THE ROUTES TO BE PERFORMED TO FULFILL THE DEMAND OF THE CUSTOMERS BY USING A HETEROGENEOUS FLEET AND CONSIDERING SOFT TIME WINDOWS. THE OBJECTIVE IS TO MINIMIZE THE DISTANCE TRAVELED BY THE PERFORMED ROUTES. WE PROPOSE A TWO-PHASE HEURISTIC ALGORITHM. IN THE PROPOSED APPROACH, AFTER AN INITIAL PHASE (FIRST PHASE), A GRANULAR TABU SEARCH IS APPLIED DURING THE IMPROVEMENT PHASE (SECOND PHASE). TWO ADDITIONAL PROCEDURES ARE CONSIDERED TO HELP THAT THE ALGORITHM COULD ESCAPE FROM LOCAL OPTIMUM, GIVEN THAT DURING A GIVEN NUMBER OF ITERATIONS THERE HAS BEEN NO IMPROVEMENT. COMPUTATIONAL EXPERIMENTS ON REAL INSTANCES SHOW THAT THE PROPOSED ALGORITHM IS ABLE TO OBTAIN HIGH-QUALITY SOLUTIONS WITHIN A SHORT COMPUTING TIME COMPARED TO THE RESULTS FOUND BY THE SOFTWARE THAT THE COMPANY CURRENTLY USES TO PLAN THE DAILY ROUTES.

THE PROPOSED APPROACH USES AN INITIAL SOLUTION OBTAINED BY A MODIFIED CLARK & WRIGHT ALGORITHM CONSIDERING THE PACKING CONSTRAINTS BY A GRASP SCHEME. THEN, A GRANULAR TABU SEARCH (GTS) ALGORITHM IS EMPLOYED TO IMPROVE THE INITIAL SOLUTION, MEANWHILE THE GRASP APPROACH VALIDATES THE PACKING CONSTRAINTS DURING THE SEARCH PROCESS. THE PROPOSED ALGORITHM HAS BEEN COMPARED WITH THE MOST EFFECTIVE ALGORITHMS PROPOSED FOR THE 3L-CVRP. COMPUTATIONAL RESULTS SHOW THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROPOSED APPROACH.

IN THIS PROBLEM, CUSTOMERS ARE DIVIDED INTO TWO SUBSETS, FOR DELIVERY AND COLLECTION. EACH VEHICLE LEAVES THE WAREHOUSE TO DELIVER MERCHANDISE TO LINEHAULS CUSTOMERS. SUBSEQUENTLY, IT MAKES A COLLECTION OF MERCHANDISE TO BACKHAULS CUSTOMERS AND RETURNS TO THE DEPARTURE WAREHOUSE. IN THIS PROPOSAL, THE OBJECTIVE IS TO MINIMIZE THE TOTAL DISTANCE, SATISFYING ALL RESTRICTIONS. IN ADDITION, THE NUMBER OF VEHICLES TO MAKE THE ROUTE IS MINIMIZED. THE MODEL HAS BEEN EVALUATED BASED ON ARTIFICIAL DATA ADAPTED FROM THE LITERATURE, WHICH INCLUDES DEMAND FOR 10, 15, 20 AND 30 NODES. THE COMPUTATIONAL RESULTS CONTRIBUTE TO VALIDATE THE APPROACH AND SCALE THE PROBLEM FOR FUTURE WORK.
- PublicaciónA NOVEL SIMPLIFIED IMPLEMENTATION OF FINITE-SET MODEL PREDICTIVE CONTROL FOR POWER CONVERTERS(IEEE ACCESS, 2021)JAIME ADDIN ROHTEN CARRASCOTHIS PAPER PRESENTS A NOVEL SIMPLIFIED METHOD TO IMPLEMENT THE FINITE SET -MODEL PREDICTIVE CONTROL TECHNIQUE FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC GENERATION SYSTEMS CONNECTED TO THE AC NETWORK. THIS METHOD MAINTAINS THE ADVANTAGES OF THE CONVENTIONAL FINITE SET -MODEL PREDICTIVE CONTROL, SUCH AS FAST RESPONSE, SIMPLE IMPLEMENTATION, AND EASY UNDERSTANDING; BUT IT ALSO ELIMINATES THE USE OF A COST FUNCTION AND HENCE THE WEIGHTING FACTORS, INSTEAD, IT FINDS THE OPTIMAL OPERATING STATE DIRECTLY FROM THE MODEL AND THE DISCRETE NUMBER OF VALID STATES OF THE CONVERTER. ALTHOUGH THE PROPOSED ALGORITHM DOES NOT COMPUTE A COST FUNCTION, IT IS ABLE TO SELECT THE INVERTER STATE THAT MINIMIZES THE TRACKING ERROR BY USING A HEXAGONAL CONVERGENCE REGION. THE MAIN ADVANTAGE OF THIS TECHNIQUE IS TO REDUCE THE COMPUTATIONAL COST IN 43THAT SELECTS THE BEST STATE, PRESENTING A SIMPLE AND COMPLETE ALGORITHM WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE PREDICTIVE CONTROL PERFORMANCE. THE PROPOSED ALGORITHM PROPERLY OPERATES UNDER VARIOUS CONDITIONS SUCH AS CHANGES IN THE NETWORK FREQUENCY AND CHANGES IN THE SYSTEM PARAMETERS.

IN IT, PEOPLE WRITE THEIR THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS ABOUT PLENTY OF TOPICS GENERATING LARGE AMOUNT OF DATA THAT CAN BE ANALYZED BY COMPANIES AND RESEARCHERS. BEING TASKS OF THE NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING, EMOTION ANALYSIS FOCUSES ON EXTRACTING THE UNDERLYING EMOTIONS IN TEXT, MEANWHILE, SENTIMENT ANALYSIS FOCUSES ON EXTRACTING THE POLARITY OF IT. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS TWO TASKS, TRADITIONAL MACHINE LEARNING AND DEEP LEARNING TECHNIQUES ARE USED. HOWEVER, TO REACH GOOD GENERALIZATION PERFORMANCE, THESE TECHNIQUES REQUIRE LARGE DATASETS OF LABELED DATA FOR TRAINING. FOR RESEARCHERS THIS IS AN ISSUE BECAUSE IN LANGUAGES LIKE SPANISH THE LABELED DATASETS ARE SPARSE. AT FIRST, A COMPREHENSIVE SURVEY PRESENTS THE NUMBER OF SCIENTIFIC PAPERS CLASSIFIED BASED ON THE RESOURCE TO SHOW THE TENDENCY AND IMPORTANCE OF SUCH SUBJECTS IN THE ACADEMIC COMMUNITY. EACH COUNTRY?S ELECTRICITY MATRIX AND GRID CONNECTION ARE SHOWN TO UNDERSTAND THE REGION?S RENEWABLE SOURCE PARTICIPATION SITUATION. THE POTENTIAL OF OFFSHORE RENEWABLE RESOURCES IS ADDRESSED BY CONSIDERING THE PUBLISHED TECHNICAL PAPERS IN SCIENTIFIC JOURNALS. THE MAIN CONFLICTS AND SYNERGIES ASSOCIATED WITH OCEAN SPACE UTILIZATION ARE PRESENTED BY CONSIDERING THE EXCLUSIVE ECONOMIC ZONE OF EACH COUNTRY. THE STATUS OF THE REGULATORY FRAMEWORKS TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOPMENT OF OFFSHORE RENEWABLE ENERGIES IS PRESENTED. BESIDES, PHOTOCATALYSIS HAS GAINED MUCH ATTENTION IN THE ELIMINATION OF AIR POLLUTION. SEVERAL ULTRAVIOLET AND VISIBLE LIGHT ACTIVE PHOTOCATALYSTS WERE TESTED IN AIR POLLUTANT TREATMENT AND THEREBY, THE NUMBER OF REPORTS WAS INCREASED IN THE PAST FEW YEARS. IN THIS CONTEXT, THIS REVIEW DESCRIBES THE PHOTOCATALYTIC TREATMENT OF GASEOUS INORGANIC CONTAMINANTS LIKE NOX, H2S, AND ORGANIC POLLUTANTS LIKE FORMALDEHYDE, ACETALDEHYDE, AND BENZENE DERIVATIVES. DIFFERENT PHOTOCATALYSTS WITH THEIR AIR POLLUTANT REMOVAL EFFICIENCY WERE EXPLAINED. IMPROVING STRATEGIES SUCH AS METAL/NON-METAL DOPING, COMPOSITE FORMATION FOR PHOTOCATALYST ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN STUDIED. MOREOVER, AN ANALYSIS IS PRESENTED FROM EACH OF THE EXISTING PHOTOCATALYTIC IMMOBILIZATION APPROACHES. ALSO, FACTORS RESPONSIBLE FOR EFFECTIVE PHOTOCATALYSIS WERE EXPLAINED. OVERALL, THE PHOTOCATALYTIC ABATEMENT TECHNIQUE IS AN AUSPICIOUS WAY TO ELIMINATE DIFFERENT AIR CONTAMINANTS. BESIDES, EXISTING DRAWBACKS AND FUTURE CHALLENGES ARE ALSO DISCUSSED.

THE TWO-LEVEL CONVERTER IS STILL THE MOST USED, SUCH AS IN THE CASE OF USE IN AC ELECTRICAL MACHINE DRIVES OR THE INCLUSION OF RENEWABLE ENERGIES IN ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS. HOWEVER, DUE TO ITS ADMIRABLE ADVANTAGES, THE MULTILEVEL CONVERTER IS A VALID ALTERNATIVE FOR HIGHER QUALITY AND EFFICIENCY BENEFITS. IN PARTICULAR, ONE OF THE MOST STUDIED TOPOLOGIES IS THE CASCADED H-BRIDGE, WHICH CAN BE CLASSIFIED ACCORDING TO ITS DC VOLTAGE RATIOS AS SYMMETRICAL AND ASYMMETRICAL. THE LATTER MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO OBTAIN A HIGH-QUALITY OUTPUT VOLTAGE WAVEFORM USING FEWER INVERTERS PER PHASE. HOWEVER, THIS HAS DRAWBACKS SUCH AS: (I) REGENERATION DUE TO THE MODULATION TECHNIQUE, (II) ASYMMETRIC POWER DISTRIBUTION AMONG THE INVERTERS, AND (III) LOSS OF MODULARITY. IN THIS WORK, IT IS PROPOSED TO DESIGN A MODULATION TECHNIQUE FOR THE GENERATION OF A STEPPED PHASE VOLTAGE BASED ON THE SUM OF MODIFIED SQUARE WAVES GENERATED BY H-BRIDGE INVERTERS IN CASCADE WITH ASYMMETRIC DC VOLTAGE RATIO IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A DISTRIBUTION OF SYMMETRICAL ACTIVE POWER BETWEEN THE CELLS AND A MINIMUM THD OF THE OUTPUT PHASE VOLTAGE. FOR THE ABOVE, THE MINIMIZATION OF THE THD OF THE OUTPUT PHASE VOLTAGE IS PERFORMED. AS A RESULT, THE DC VOLTAGES AND FIRING ANGLES ARE OBTAINED FOR EACH MODIFIED SQUARE WAVEFORM. THUS, FOR SIX CELLS PER PHASE WITH M=1.0, 6.976% OF THD IS OBTAINED, AND AN EFFICIENCY OF 95.32%.

THE PROPOSAL INDICATES THAT, TO ACHIEVE A MORE STABLE OPERATION FOR THE MICROGRIDS, THE QZSI MUST EMULATE THE INERTIA OF A REAL SYNCHRONOUS MACHINE (SM) THROUGH A VIRTUAL SYNCHRONOUS GENERATION (VSG) STRATEGY. THE PROPOSED VSG STRATEGY GENERATES THE SETPOINTS FOR THE AC AND DC SIDES OF THE CONVERTER. THESE REFERENCES ARE TAKEN BY A DIRECT MODEL-BASED PREDICTIVE CONTROL (MPC) SCHEME THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CONTROLLING THE VARIABLES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE INVERTER.
