Resumen
THIS RESEARCH STUDY AIMS TO DESCRIBE ADULT ATTITUDES TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGS). THE STUDY OF SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION IS LINKED TO THE BEHAVIOR THAT
SEEKS TO SATISFY NEEDS BY ENHANCING ACTIONS THAT HELP MITIGATE OR REDUCE NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON THE ENVIRONMENT.
A QUANTITATIVE QUESTIONNAIRE IS APPLIED TO 381 PEOPLE, COMPLETING A NON-PROBABILISTIC SAMPLE FOR CONVENIENCE.
THE STATISTICAL METHODS APPLIED INCLUDE EXPLORATORY FACTORIAL ANALYSIS AND DIFFERENCE IN MEANS. THE RESULTS
SHOW THAT THERE ARE SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES ACCORDING TO GENDER, AGE, AND EDUCATIONAL LEVEL. THEY ALSO INDICATE
THAT THERE IS A NEED FOR COMPANIES TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION AND FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS TO
PROMOTE PRACTICES BASED ON ETHICAL, GREEN, AND ECOLOGICAL CONSUMPTION. IN CONCLUSION, SDGS CAN BE CONSIDERED AS TOOLS FOR THE STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF MODERN ORGANIZATIONS.
