dc.description.abstract	La presente investigación tiene como objetivo conocer percepciones y expectativas de estudiantes de segundo año de Pedagogía en Inglés de la Universidad del Bío-Bío respecto a instancias de prácticas tempranas y evaluar el impacto que causa en los estudiantes conocer la realidad de la profesión durante los inicios de la carrera, de esa manera ellos podrán definir si desean ejercer la profesión docente o desistir de esta. Para esto se llevó a cabo una investigación enfocada en las experiencias de los estudiantes de segundo año de la Universidad del Bío-Bío a través de un método que permite aprendizaje por observación llamado Job Shadowing, desarrollado principalmente en países europeos en diferentes áreas de desarrollo laboral. Este método espera ser integrado dentro del programa de la carrera de Pedagogía en Inglés de la UBB, para darle la oportunidad a futuras generaciones de una inmersión temprana al mundo laboral. Cabe destacar que el foco de nuestra investigación surge desde la necesidad de los estudiantes de Pedagogía en Inglés de la Universidad por exponerse tempranamente al sistema educacional en nuestro país y poder desarrollar su vocación y habilidades durante la realización de este método.	es
dc.description.abstract-2	This research aims at finding out the perceptions and expectations of second-year students in the English Teaching Program at the Universidad del Bío-Bío regarding instances of early practices and evaluating the impact that these practices have on the students once they get a chance, early on in the program, to experience the reality of the teaching profession and to be able to decide if they want to continue or not studying to become teachers. For this purpose, a research focusing on the experiences of sophomores at the Universidad del Bío-Bío was carried out through an observational learning method called Job Shadowing, used mainly in European countries in different areas of work training. The practice of this method is expected to become an integral part of the English Teaching Program at the Universidad del Bío-Bío and, therefore, to give future generations the opportunity to immerse themselves, early on, in the real world. Finally, it is noteworthy to mention that our research originated from the need expressed by the students of the English Teaching Program at the Universidad del Bío-Bío to familiarize themselves with the educational system of our country and to be able to strengthen their vocation and teaching skills while doing their job shadowing experience.	en
