dc.description.abstract	La presente monografía científica, aborda las implicancias referidas a la vejez, envejecimiento,familia y como ésta enfrenta las temáticas de cuidados a las personas mayores y los efectos que el cuidado genera en la dinámica familiar. El presente estudio, plantea ciertos propositos que lo guian tales como: conocer la realidad del envejecimiento en América Latina y en Chile y los antecedentes generales respecto del cuidado y la familia; profundizar en el estudio y comprensión de los cuidados hacia las personas mayores al interior de las familias y sus efectos en la dinámica familiar y por último contribuir a generar discusión y conciencia sobre la necesidad de implementar sistemas de cuidados formales en Chile. El estudio consta de trescapítulos: en el primero se aborda el diseño metodológico,que señala que es una monografia de carácter cualitativo, de tipo analítico, documental, descriptivo. Las fuentes de informacion surgen de la literatura especializada en el tema, tanto nacional como extranjera. En el segundo capítulo se aborda la temática de vejez, envejecimiento y su realidad en América Látina y Chile como también conceptos actuales sobre familia. Finalizando el capítulo, se presentan teorias de envejecimiento que sustentan el estudio además de las principales politicas públicas implementadas por el estado dirigidas a las personas mayores, siendo la principal la politica integral del adulto mayor del año 2012. En el tercer capítulo se profundiza en la temática central del presente estudio, el cuidado de las personas mayores, en el que se conceptualiza el cuidado y se ahonda en materias tales como tipos de cuidados a las personas mayores (formales e informales), etapas del cuidado, estrés del cuidador, perfil del cuidador, sobrecarga del cuidador, efectos de cuidar, entre otros. La monografía finaliza con el establecimiento de conclusiones obtenidas por el grupo referente al tema estudiado, desarrollando a su vez un análisis crítico de la situación y generando sugerencias en relación a la problemática de la familia y del cuidado de las personas mayores.	es
dc.description.abstract-2	The present scientific monograph approaches the implications referred to eld, aging, family, and how this faces the care of the elderly and the effects that care has on family dynamics. This study proposes certain purposes that act as a guideline, such as: to know the reality of aging in Latin America and Chile, and the general background concerning eld care and family; to deepen the study and comprehension of eld care within the family, and the effects on family dynamics, and finally, to contribute to the generation of a conscious discussion about the necessity of the implementation of a formal eld-care system in Chile. The study consists of three chapters: the first one approaches the methodological design, that points out that this is a qualitative monograph, analytical, documentary and descriptive. The information sources are present is specialized national and international literature. The second chapter is focused on eld, aging and its reality in Latin America and Chile, as much as key concepts about family. To conclude the chapter, some aging theories that back up the study are presented, apart from the main public policies implemented by the State with the aim of helping the elderly, being the most important the “integral policy of the elderly” of 2012. The third chapter deepens the central topic of this study, the eld-care, in which care is conceptualized and it goes beyond in topics such as different types of eld-care (formal or informal), stages of care, stress, profile and overload of the carer, effects of caring, among others. The monograph ends with the establishment of conclusions obtained by the group, concerning the studied topic, developing a critical analysis of the situation and generating suggestions in relation to family problems and eld-care.
