dc.description.abstract	En Chile progresivamente ha ido aumentando la preocupación y valoración del patrimonio cultural tangible e intangible lo que ha sido potenciado por eventos catastróficos que obligan a mirar y cuestionar el valor de la identidad y su aporte medioambiental. En los últimos 8 años se han realizado cambios significativos en la puesta en valor del patrimonio modesto constituido por inmuebles que no necesariamente poseen protección legal, pero que generan un aporte significativo de valor intangible a través del reconocimiento de formas de habitar, costumbres, tradiciones e historias no sólo en la ciudad, sino que también en sectores rurales. Bajo este foco ha sido posible la rehabilitación de viviendas de data antigua con sistemas constructivos diversos entre ellos, adobe, fardos de paja, albañilería y madera. Sin embargo, la intervención de este tipo de inmuebles requiere un tratamiento específico y complementario a los criterios que actualmente se aplican, que aborde su valor cultural y también incorpore la adecuación a estándares energéticos actuales. La norma al respecto en Chile aborda sólo un componente térmico, excluyendo otros criterios de confort en las viviendas como la calidad del aire interior, la iluminación natural y la autogeneración de energía. Sin embargo, siendo ésta una necesidad actual, no existe una herramienta específica que permita abordar la rehabilitación de estos inmuebles considerando el mejoramiento energético, en armonía con el valor de elementos y atributos patrimoniales. Esta investigación desarrolla una metodología que logre compatibilizar los valores patrimoniales y energéticos para definir escenarios de intervención en la rehabilitación energética de viviendas patrimoniales con un estándar de alto rendimiento energético en Chile. El estudio se estructura en base a la identificación de estándares y criterios a nivel nacional e internacional con Bélgica, definición de una metodología, validación de la metodología sobre un caso base en la ciudad de Lota, Chile y propone criterios de diseño que guíen la rehabilitación patrimonial energética en Chile. En base a lo anterior, se definen procedimientos y pautas para la valoración de elementos patrimoniales, la evaluación energética y la integración de ambos ámbitos determinado el grado de compatibilidad que permita definir escenarios de intervención con alto rendimiento energético. Por último, se establecen propuestas para alcanzar la rehabilitación energética de edificaciones patrimoniales residenciales en Chile bajo estándares de alto rendimiento energético identificando brechas y oportunidades.	es
dc.description.abstract-2	n Chile progressively has been increasing concern and appreciation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage which has been enhanced by catastrophic events that require us to look and question the value of identity and its environmental contribution. In the last 8 years significant changes have been made in the value of the modest patrimony constituted by heritage buildings that does not necessarily have legal protection, but that generate a significant contribution of intangible value through the recognition of ways of living, customs, traditions and histories not only in the city, but also in rural sectors. Under this focus, it has been possible to renovate old houses with diverse construction systems, adobe, bales of straw, masonry and wood. However, the intervention of this type of buildings requires a specific and complementary treatment to the criteria that are currently applied, which addresses its cultural value and also incorporates the adaptation to current energy standards. The standard in this regard in Chile only addresses a thermal component, excluding other comfort criteria in homes such as indoor air quality, natural lighting and energy self-generation. However, this being a current need, there is no specific tool to address the rehabilitation of these properties considering the improvement of energy, in harmony with the value of elements and heritage attributes. This research develops a methodology that achieves the compatibility of heritage and energy values to define intervention scenarios in the energy rehabilitation of heritage homes with a high energy efficiency standard in Chile. The study is structured based on the identification of national and international standards and criteria with Belgium, definition of a methodology, validation of the methodology on a base case in the city of Lota, Chile and proposes design criteria to guide the rehabilitation energy heritage in Chile. Based on the above, procedures and guidelines are defined for the valuation of heritage elements, the energy evaluation and the integration of both areas determined the degree of compatibility that allows defining intervention scenarios with high energy efficiency. Finally, proposals are established to achieve the energy rehabilitation of residential heritage buildings in Chile under high energy efficiency standards, identifying gaps and opportunities.	en
