Prácticas de consumo sustentable en los habitantes de la intercomuna Chillán-Chillán Viejo

dc.description.abstract	La presente investigación se contextualiza en la intercomuna de Chillán y Chillán Viejo, bajo la temática consumo sustentable, desde la cual se lleva a cabo un análisis por medio de tres ejes interrelacionados que corresponden a las áreas y prácticas de consumo sustentable en los habitantes de la ciudad de Chillán y Chillán Viejo junto a las características de consumo sustentable, además de definir y caracterizar conductas de estos respecto al consumo sustentable. El escenario actual respecto a contaminación y deterioro del planeta nos lleva a poner atención en que es lo que como humanidad estamos haciendo para detener la progresiva destrucción del planeta tierra. "En los últimos dos siglos, el crecimiento exponencial de la población y de los niveles promedio de consumo individual impuso un vertiginoso incremento de la demanda global de todo tipo de recursos y modificó casi completamente la superficie continental del planeta" (Barros, 2010) Esta investigación se centra en una temática emergente que se posiciona como una solución al escenario global de consumismo desmedido el cual se proyecta bajo la lógica de la ideología imperante que, en el caso de Chile, el neoliberalismo ha instaurado, en donde prima la economía vertiginosa y depredadora por sobre la conservación de los recursos y el planeta tierra para las futuras generaciones. El concepto de consumo sustentable ante esto abre nuevas interrogantes teóricas y prácticas que proporcionan soluciones tangibles a la problemática de contaminación. Es por lo anteriormente señalado que esta investigación persigue el objetivo general de “Analizar las prácticas de consumo sustentable, en los habitantes de la Intercomuna Chillán y Chillán Viejo" lo cual permitirá tener una información relevante del actual escenario de las áreas y prácticas, características y conductas respecto al consumo sustentable. Para el cumplimiento de este objetivo que se plantea en la presente investigación se hace uso de la metodología mixta de investigación que busca representar un conjunto de procesos sistemáticos, empíricos y críticos de una investigación e implican la recolección y el análisis de datos.	es
dc.description.abstract-2	The investigation was carried out in the field of practices of sustainable consumption in the inhabitants of Chillán and Chillán Viejo district. The general objective of this investigation is to “Analyze the practices of sustainable consumption, in the inhabitants of the Chillán and Chillán Viejo district”. The research process was developed through the methodology of mixed research, including a qualitative approach with the analysis of the concept of sustainable consumption incorporating a theoretical base and a quantitative approach, with the data collection by means of a survey with a likert like structure, which was developed from; an item that specifies general data from the survey respondents, then another item called “areas and practices of sustainable consumption”, after that a third item called “conducts of sustainable consumption” and finally, the part called “characteristics of sustainable consumption”, the survey was applied in-person to the same amount of inhabitants of Chillán and Chillán Viejo, for the later process of analysis of data which was carried out by means of the statistical program SPSS, processing the information through charts, tables and statistical tests which presented a descriptive analysis of the consumption practices of the inhabitants of those districts. To a great extent, the conclusions of this piece of research are the following; the practices of sustainable consumption more applied by the inhabitants of Chillán and Chillán Viejo are aimed at saving energy and planning of buying food, clothing and footwear, regarding practices related to recycling, both districts show a drop in declaring that they practice actions towards recycling, finally it was concluded that the acknowledgment of the concept of sustainable consumption and its practice is still in process.	en
