dc.description.abstract	John Gottman, psicólogo de la Universidad de Washington, dirige el Laboratorio de Investigación de la Familia. Sus resultados son la base del libro “Educación Emocional”, que se plantea como un mapa científico de la felicidad matrimonial. Cuando empezó a interesarse por las relaciones conyugales descubrió que “sólo se estudiaban los problemas matrimoniales”. Entonces pensó: “sería mejor estudiar los matrimonios que funcionaban”, porque podrían aportar mucha más luz a la cuestión de la felicidad. Los resultados muestran conductas que contribuyen a mejorar la felicidad matrimonial, funcionando en otras parejas. Ese planteamiento, motivó la idea de buscar una teoría que permitiese la comprensión lo más adecuadamente posible, de algún tipo de funcionamiento familiar, que permitiera la observación de su estructura y procesos internos para intentar describir los elementos más destacables. Obteniendo, un proceso de retroalimentación teórica y actualizada; en lo metodológico significó la aplicación de Historia de Vida a una familia nuclear, para luego desglosar su Discurso en forma textual. Discurso textual que se contrastó como información, con la teoría seleccionada. Abordando descriptores como: Familia como Sistema, Etapas de Vida (Ciclo Individual; Familiar), Organización (se ha recurrido al modelo de evaluación sicológica de familia de la Dra. P. Arés, la que destaca tres niveles o dimensiones para su aplicación: organización de la familia, así como sus procesos interactivos y relacionales y su flexibilidad y adaptabilidad activa a los cambios.). Que sirvió para examinar qué tan viable resultaría recomendar este modelo teórico – Funcionamiento Familiar: del Dr. Ramón Florenzano– para medir o diagnosticar el grado de Funcionalidad Familiar. Aporte que puede servir como herramienta en la Formación de Especialistas en Familia.	es
dc.description.abstract-2	John Gottman, psychologist of the University of Washington, directs the Laboratory of Investigation of the Family.
